How can you talk of love,
And the one and only God above,
When you know deep in your heart,
That all your words just tear me apart?

How can one be so cruel,
And treat life as in a duel,
Threatening this little girl's soul,
Trying to destroy my female goal?

How can you say you love me,
When you deny me to be,
What is the very essence of my soul,
Preventing me from being whole?

How can you say that sending me away,
Will help me grow up one day,
To simply be a man,
When a girl I know I am?

Why have you given me life,
And then tell me I cannot be the wife,
Of a decent and loving man,
When you know that I can?

Why mother have you forsaken me,
To let the very girl I need to be,
That lives deep down in my soul,
Be complete and whole?

God has given me a dream,
But your unacceptance just makes me scream,
Because you have conjoled and tried,
Abandoned, hated and lied,
That makes me so sad I cried.

I will complete my life's goal,
To be happy and whole,
In body and soul,
As the girl I just need to be,
For all the world to see.
