Think about this for a bit.

Differently Than You

We all learned how to read, do numbers and write,
We all learned how to make everything seem right,
We all learned how get along with others,
As tho we were sisters and brothers.

When we became older,
We got a little bolder,
And started to think,
That we should not shrink,
From a cruel world,
Simply because we are in a whirl.

Some took to writing, some took to reading,
But nowhere did anyone do the leading,
That could bring us so much cheer,
From those that would leer,
From inside their mind,
While pretending to be kind.

The ones who read so very much,
Just harumpf and say;
Why didn't she just write such and such?

So the story does end
Because she will not bend,
To those who will try,
To make her write,
In a way she does not feel.

So the moral of the story is,
Write your own words like this,
From your own mind,
And not be unkind,
To those who think and do,
Differently than you.
