Poetry is the song of the soul, It sings to make us whole In body and in mind. It tells of something bad, Woes we have so sad, But also tells of something good, And put us into the mood For ecstacy, pleasure and bliss.
Poetry is a frame of mind, That comes to us in kind, When we least expect it That makes each of us a poet.
It can be free verse or rhyme, And can have metre in time. Or it can be a story, In poetry form and glory.
So poetry as a whole, Is definitely the song of the soul.

I agree, Barbie. I think that all everyone who has a soul is a poet. Some of us just cannot "keep it in" and so we share our thoughts and feelings with others via our verses. Thank you for sharing this offering. Love and peace,
