Form! Form! And More Form!

Form! Write your poem as to form,
Give us some kind of norm.
Don't go helter skelter as you write,
Make the message clear and bright.

Form! Gives us poems as in days of old,
When there were sonnets that were bold,
And told of loves lost and gained,
While those that left should have remained.

Form! Make the haiku of nature serene,
Write your verses virtuous and redeem,
All that is left of your integrity,
So you may hold your head high with dignity.

Form! Form! And more form.
What the heck is the norm,
That everyone says should be,
Written for the reader to see?

Can you tell me why,
That I cannot get by,
With a simple write,
That is clear and bright,
With nay the messy form,
That everyone says is the norm?
