My Wife And I

She was just a faceless name

who wrote poems and stories,

of such horror and pain.

We spoke often, sharing a joke or two,

and she referred to the restroom as the loo.

She knew my story, and felt my pain

then said that we were the same,

but that she was wild and needed to be tamed.

I said all in good time, as our vows are gold,

to which she replied, that I was not so old,

even though I was way older than she,

and a very happy couple we will be

through life and all of eternity.

She made me happy, a miracle drug from Heaven,

sent to care for me and give me happiness and love.

She tickled my funny bone and I cooed like a dove,

melting into her charms of earnest love and care.

We met on the internet,

just names on the same site,

but that she was lonely was not right,

and we both needed someone to share the light,

that we both needed so much.

Though we will have a bumpy ride for a while,

it will all smooth out then we both can smile,

and live as happily as two women can,

arm in arm without the abuse of a man.

We are wife and wife, and we are very proud,

of who we are and we will say it very loud,

thank God that He brought us together,

to share in each other’s lives.
