The Beauty Of It All

Have you ever seen with your eyes,

The beauty that is in the sky?

Do you look at the stars and the moon

And hear the warble of the loon?

Do you look at the bright blue sea,

Thinking that’s where you should be?

Do you listen to the birds in the trees,

The buzzing of the bees?

Do you stop to smell the fragrant flowers,

Or do you just walk by and glower?

Do you smile and feel warm when the children play,

Or do you just go on with your humdrum day?

There is beauty and life all around us,

But we will miss it on the train or the bus.

So take a leisurely walk and enjoy the day,

Because the beauty is there they say,

To be enjoyed and shared on your way,

As you start your busy day.
