Getting Laid

Never judge a poem or story by its title.

Getting Laid


By Barbara Lynn Terry


 


He laid the board down,


And slightly frowned.


He measured the piece,


 


And with  ease,


He made a dot,


And drew a line.


 


She laid her baby down,


In her crib, just before dawn.


Then she went and laid down herself.


 


He laid down his pen,


And thought that when,


Would it be time to leave.


 


The group laid down their folders,


And listened to the man,


Who said he’d do all he can.

interesting Barbie and each verse gives the reader somthing to contemplate instead of the obvious jump start the title did tend to suggest....
