As I Write My Words

As I write a poem of my life,

The abuse, pain, and other strife,

I hope that through the lines,

I can educate in time,

Those with closed minds.

I hope that through the years,

There will be no more tears,

From those like me,

Because others will let them be,

Who they were born to be.

Education, mind fulfilment,

Are the tools of enjoyment,

That we all need to live

Our life, and free to strive

To complete our goals.

As I write my stories,

Of love, acceptance, and trust,

Aware all of us must

Be, faithful to who we are,

Inside of our souls.

I write to share my strengths,

Weaknesses, length by length,

Thoughts of how we can be,

So that others can see,

The being we were born to be.

My poems tell a story,

My stories tell of glory,

That I was born to lead,

Others to pick up and read,

Pages of wisdom to heed.
