Please Listen

Please listen to the words I write,

Yes, sometimes they may bite,

But don’t let that stop you

Because my body has teeth marks too.

If you only read the words I write,

Then their meaning just might,

Escape from your fragile mind,

That has no real value in kind.

I write these words for a reason,

Not just to tell of my season

That my life has no reason,

To exist in this cranial lesion.

So please listen to the words I write,

Because I have a reason that might,

Just teach a lesson in humility,

That we need not live in futility.
