Just a whimsical rambling of a sick woman.
I Hope by Barbara Lynn Terry I sit here bored because of a stupid virus thinking of taking a trip to Pyrus the fictional town of the fictional land of Genovia to be crowned princess and live a life of ease. For a day, A week, A month, A year, or maybe even a Lifetime? My fever won't break, and this virus just has to go and even as I step to open the door it just stays and stays and nothing can hold it at bay. So I just sit here writing stupid, innate poems like this one hoping soon the virus will be done making me listless, with no place to go. I hope.

Get well soon. Until then, you can write more poetry... though I don't see this "I Hope" as being stupid and innate.

I empathize with you. I don't like to be bedridden or feel so bad I can't do the things I want to do. It's good you can write poems to keep yourself occupied during your recuperation. Get well soon.

As a child and well into my teens, I was often very ill with fevers and asthma; so I can relate somewhat. Since my early twenties, I am very seldom ill, not even with a cold so I am very grateful. I do hope that you feel much better very soon, Barbie. In the meantime, you are using your illness as a source of inspiration... ...I suppose that could be looked upon as "a silver lining."
