This what my day is like since I have been very ill.

Bored Out Of My Mind
by Barbara Lynn Terry

As I sit here and look out of my window,
I see a blue sky and white fluffy clouds
and the temperature is mid seventies
a perfect day to go to the park.

But I am stuck in this house,
sniffling, coughing, and doing nothing
but watching tennis on tv and writing
this poem about being bored.

I could go out, but would that be wise?
I have a virus that just won't quit
but I could have some fun
even if I have a coughing fit.

No I think I had better stay indoors
and watch my neighbors drinking Coors
and laughing and having a good time
in the perfect sun on a perfect day.

So wrapped up in my snuggie
I curl up on the sofa and watch
my tennis and drink my juice
being bored out of my mind.

My Sweet Den Sister! I arrive a little late here in the day! My email notifier is not working correctly...BUT...let me offer this for future comfort!! There is at the drug store a wonderful product called nedi pot. It looks like a small plastic tea pot (or an alladins lamp) Check It Out!! You place saline solution in it & clean out sinus cavities with it. It is the most wonderful little thing to have. It helps people with alergies, colds, snoring....I love to use it from time to time & it really really feels good when you have a cold....My Blessings Always
Love Vickie
(There is also a power flush bottle one too!)
and no...it does not burn...feels good :)

Bless you! It's terrible to be ill, especially on a nice, warm sunny day. But if it's any consolation to you, I enjoyed your poem! Please keep on writing...I'm sending a burst of positive energy your way, my dear. I pray you'll be feeling better soon....

Hugs,
Anna

Ah sometimes being bored can be a good thing, time to dig out a few old movies, eat sweets and just forget life for a while..
