I'm sorry these are late but I wrote them in the hospital.

Silent Night
by Barbara Lynn Terry

The Sky was clear
the stars did shine
families were celebrating
the Christ Child's birth.

From the east they came
these families three
with blessings and good tidings
and joys to be.

They sang of His coming
they sang of His birth
they sang of the halls
with boughs of holly.

But on the night of HIs birth
All was still, all was quiet
except for the cattle
who were lowing their prayers.

Perhaps sincerity is found only in "lesser" creatures, cos, animals seems to be the ones to forgive and never stop loving us.
Hope all is well with you and that you have enough optimism going into the New Year!
