A Nice Dream To Have

There are advertisements asking for help
of abused, abandoned and hungry animals
Many of our pets are thrown in to rivers, from cars,
or just taken out and left to themselves.

The announcer says that it is the ones they
depend on that they fear the most.
But what happens to the ones they cannot
get help for? What happens to them?
They get put to sleep.

There are humans who do the same to their
own loved ones. They abuse them, physically,
mentally and sexually. The ones they love are
ones they fear the most. The ones they trust
are the ones who abandon them.

When will all the abuse stop? When will we
have a world where we can live in peace?
When can we trust our loved ones again?
I guess never but it is a nice dream to have.
