I wrote this in August of 1998 for our little grandson who was gravely ill.
Joshua, oh Joshua with eyes so
bright a hue of blue. What trials
and tribulations does God have in
store for you.
He gave you a perfect oval face,
hair the color of summer wheat,
ears to hear our voices and music's
melodious sounds. But God
forgot to give you sight,
and a smile so bright and pure.
He made you less than
perfect with an unknown illnes to endure.
He's challenged our faith, and
given us mountains so very high
to climb. Its made us closer in
spirit, opened our minds,, to
Gods wonderous powers, the miracle
of his love. We know he'll be with
you ,as he watches from above.
He'll keep you safely in his
care, guiding the minds of Doctors
as they try to save your life.
No matter what happens dear Josh,
you will always be, a special part
of our lives, and very dear to me.
