My husband is home from the hospital. He's on a low salt strict Cardiac Diet and some new medications. He got 2 pints of blood and 2 pints of iron as he was quite anemic. He's doing well.

We often take for granted the little things that occur in daily life, then something happens to remind us how precious those things really are:

I slept well last night ,
for you were laying close to me
Now you're home,
I'm as happy as can be

Symptoms of Congestive Heart Failure

1) Edema (SWELLING) in hands, feet, legs
( Fluid retention)
2) Shortness of breath upon exertion,
or when laying down
3) Tiredness and fatigue
4) A slight weight gain,
5) Possible abdominal distension

The most common causes of heart failure are an inadequate blood supply to the heart from cornary artery disease or prolonged high blood pressure. It can happen if the heart is beating too fast,to hard or if there is a build up of fliud in body tissues or lungs. There are many Underlying Causes .If you expierence some of the above symptoms, Call Your Doctor at Once!!!! 

When the heart is working normally , the two sides of the heart pump out the same amount of blood with each beat and each side takes in the same amount as it pumps out. There is no build up or congestion of blood any where in the circulatory system.....
