Our grandson Joshua was born April 8, 1998. He lived most of his short life with us. He died on May 25,2000. Each year we remember his birthday. I tried to write a poem for him, but could not, so I'm writing him a letter.

Happy Birthday dearest Joshua.
You must be having a glorious birthday in heaven again this year.

We think of you often and miss you so very much. Time has not lessened the love we felt for you. You touched our lives in so many ways and you live on in our hearts and dreams.

I often wonder what your personality would have been like. Would you have been athletic,liked sports, fishing ,or reading. Would you have been energetic and outgoing. How tall would you be and what foods would would you like. These questions can never be answered for you did not live long enough to expierence any of them. You never saw the sun or clouds in the blue sky. You never even saw us or your parents because you were blind.

You were so sick and there was no help for you . Now in retrospect, I think that God was merciful when he took you to be with him. You suffered so much ! We loved you so much, that it was hard to let you go, but in the end it was taken out of our hands by him and his supreme love for you.

The years with out you have left an emptyness in our hearts, yet you live on and we know you are in a much better place and are at peace.

Some day we'll be with you again . Until then, always know that we love and cherish you. Happy Birthday Josh.
