Sassy was about 15 years old. On Sat June 26,2010 she suddenly died.
The picture was taken of my mother, Lois and Sassy in 2001.

Sassy, a middle sized black Cockapoo, was my mother's dog

Many years ago, our daughter and son in law adopted her from the local pound.

The dog was shy and had a nervous condition. She had been abused by her previous owners.

Sassy and my mother soon became best friends. She would sleep in moms room and follow her every where. That little black dog loved mom so much!

After my mother passed away in Dec., 2002, Sassy seemed lost. She was still loved and reviered by the rest of the family, but she was never quite the same.

As the years passed, she became thinner, did not eat as much and she became deaf.

Our son, Tim moved here to live with us. He and Sassy became good friends. Once again there was a spring in her step and she became more playful! She really loved Tim and they were inseperable.

On Friday eve, she did not eat her dinner.. Yesterday she was outside standing by Tim when she suddenly fell over and died. It was a great shock to all of us! Its been doubly hard, as she was Moms dog and a part of her.
We felt we had lost another part of my mother yesterday!
Judson's funeral was Friday, June 25 and we are coping with that also.

Sassy was burried by the lake she loved so much. We said a prayer for her and plan to put a small cross at her grave site.

I know with out a doubt she is with mom now, right where she belongs...
