I wrote this little poem many, many years ago and just up dated it.
Little boys can bring such happiness and joy. They like to play with their own special toys. They are rough and rowdy, each in their own way and look forward to each new day!
They climb trees , ride skateboards and bikes. Some even like to fly a kite.. They tumble and turn , run and jump. Some may land , causing a loud thump. One or two might get cuts and bruises that need special attention. Others tell scary stories too awful to mention. To try to get them to clean their rooms is a problem of sorts and some times they can make a parents temper rather short!
Each is unique in their own way and have continued to grow as life goes on its way.
The years slip quickly by and now they are men with families of their own. BUT,, the closeness shared by mother and son's, will always be there,, on that you can depend!
Happy Fathers Day To All my Amazing Sons !
PS I also have a daughter and 2 step daughters . How blessed can a mom be ?
BEAUTIFUL, MARY GRACE! THANKS FOR SHARING THIS FINE TRIBUTE TO YOUR 5 SONS WHO ARE NOW FATHERS...ON THEIR SPECIAL DAY! ENJOYED VERY MUCH. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
My mother had four sons and your poem reminded me of how we did all those things that you wrote to both my mother's delight and, sometimes, worry. Now that they are fathers, you have a new view of them along with the old. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!!! You have a big family!!! Good for you!!! I think each one of our children is unique even though they are all my children. They all have their own personalities. I'm glad yours have got families of their own already. I have two sons and one daughter, only one of my sons is married. I love my children so much! Your poem has brought back some memories for me. Great job!!!
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
