More than 70 members of a family came together in Montana. Every two years we assemble from across America. This was my take on the latest reunion.
Family Gathering The past got its due And we gathered who we are From what was handed down But the present is restless What was then and now Are only parts of what can be Young lives collide with energy Of newly established orbits Sighting location and relation In a galaxy we call family Our elements inescapably diverge But fusion will reassert its power when Old and new meet again and Anneal adaptable love Charles B. Good thoughts. I relate. Especially like how these lines develop.
"Young lives collide with energy
Of newly established orbits"
and... "In a galaxy we call family"

Amazing. My extended family rarely gets together these days except for funerals. And thankfully, those are rare as well. Everyone is content I guess, to communicate on Facebook. I'm not on Facebook.

My brother got married (again, third time) at his remote Arizona retreat last weekend. Sixty people attended, only five of them were family. I would have attended if I could.
