A steady, dependable friend of decades passes on. His legacy remains.
The Best of Friends Jim, we count your ways Son, husband, father, friend Counselor at law and to the countless lives That swirled and swelled around you When bystanders dallied or shied away You stepped in advised cajoled And acted when many couldn’t You took chances but always With your own treasure, investing At every step with others in mind You enriched simply by presence Cooking at dawn, netting lobsters Growing orchids, talking story Humorous caring steadfast to the core We carry on now, richer, stronger Having learned from all you gave us How best to count on ourselves Charles B.
