Letting go

Free

Coming or going, it isn’t clear

both ominous and promising it seems

doors slam on a piece of life

uprooting heartstrings

Severing ties or flying free

inflection and semantics decide

old dreams make way for new

we laugh while we cry

Growing old and growing up

anxiety and resistance meet

somewhere between eighteen and fifty

we redefine free

"Free" talks with words that prod the ontoligical knowledge and links imagination to the wings of Justice.

Well said. I'm kind of irritated about being old, but there's nothing we can do about it. I can't worry, because there's too many things to be done before I'm finished.

Yes we do and Sandy I said after they drag me off to the nursing home and I am going to make two things in ceramics class. Read my next poem. I think I redined something at age 40 when all hell broke loose on me.
