To seize a satisfying existence,
A first cause for all being we must face.
The religious believe their Bibles—
“God created using nothing as a base.” 

Scientists claim they’ve found the first instant
When the universe popped forth from naught.
They’ve called this explosion The Big Bang,
Though its cause has left them distraught
For
It seems to have burst forth from nothing;
For certain, a non scientific thought.

To clutch a purposeful existence,
On a final cause for being we must dwell.
What follows death makes a difference;
We will each need our own holding cell.

Science buries us under the dirt—
The Bible in Heaven or in Hell!
