Breath of You

It's been almost 2 yrs (Thanksgiving-Day) since my best friend Cindy's Mom went on to a better place.

I love you Mom aka Barbara

Pretend that I’m there and loving you

and I’ll pretend this is ours.

Daydream when I’ve been away

my daughter, just look to the skies.

For there you will find me, as pure as a snowflake;

and as unique as you are, you’ll know,

the colours of the sky are not sorrowful.

It’s a change in our season, my song of life sung.

By Heavenly angels, the hallelujah choir has begun.

Until our day, daydream when you feel sad

and know that you are mine.

I have a piece of your heart smiling,

my lemon-lime girl.

Don’t cry too long Cindy, it was my time.

I took a piece that you don’t yet understand.

A piece of your heart, the length

of your hair. Your favorite perfume is

wafting in my atmosphere. I

fill it with love, drown it in joy,

never forgetting our time together,

the things that we learned, the

things that we know.

I return them to you, as you lay

your weary head.

I place them in your dreams. I

touch your face so gently kissing and

just a whisper...to

wait for you to come to me.

Love, Mommy for Cindy
