Longing for peace in this world...

Unfamiliar persons breed hate:
this is not as it should be,
not what was foretold.
Not by your shamans,
or my God of old.

I’m unfamiliar to you,
with eyes all your own.
Are you trying to see me?
You chill me to the bone.

I need to feel warmth,
I’ll bet you do too. With
our hands clasped tightly
we go and explore.

I see life as a wandering stream,
it’s warm in my mind. Oneness,
passing over life’s ridges and rocks.
Obliterate them? No, of course not.

A bit of time erodes, graces
us all with wisdom called age.
No bombs threatening,
no hunger or blame.

No hatred or fear,
for the small child at night.
Only love and sweet dreams
must end our plight.
