Creeping slowly, moving quietly
Softly beckoning visions of delight.
Transparent allusions
Of weighty insinuations
Tease and tempt with seductive implication.
The stirrings of the soul, again, dare to dream
Of escaping the reality of forbidden things.
The secrets of life and its mysteries, I behold
As in wonder and awe, the magic unfolds.
I hear a sigh. I had breathed it aloud,
As I watched the moon rising
From the dark opaqueness of the clouds.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
