In the depth of eyes
In the pools of deep brown
I keep afloat here,
In your good times and bad
I promise to do my best dad
In your concerned smiling eyes,
Even when life is tough
And the salty torrents push
And the current pulls me under,
I swear I'll struggle and surface
I'll never drown or let you down
Till all is calm again,
And my resting waters are smooth
Once the tear flows out of your eyes.
For my dad. For all the emotions in him that I can and cannot understanding. And for him for understanding me.
