Three days from
the meeting place
where bull elk
bugles woman's
arrival.

On the 12th day
of their trek, two
women arrive,
thirsty, their goatskin
botas emptied of
wine, skylighted before
they drop into the
valley to join what is
clearly the main
migration to the elk rut.

For us, the mystery
of female migration
makes it more
compelling,
crossing borders,
finding an alternative
route, sexing each other
at the base of a basalt
ridge.

Built-in curiosity
and acute sense
of smell, intuition
walking in deep
grooves of an
age-old migration
track, leading the
way for other women
to encounter.

Leather-skinned
nomads, wolves
coming in close
range of fifty feet
of the proud
warriors.

Bull elk bugles,
finding solace in
knowledge that
woman has arrived,
unnamed peaks,
mounds of beautiful
female flesh heaved
up.

On this journey to
face the challenge
of the nature of
woman and to save
a piece of it, to
witness the birth of
woman in her natural
habitat.

How likely are you
to encounter this?

This poem is wellspring for the imagination. It really takes the reader's mind on an enchanting journey. That picture's fantastic also. I'd love to find a place like the illustration. ~~Nordette

When you delve into the reason d' art and combine it with the harsh glasre of reality, you give your readers something to chew on, mull over, and try to answer you with an indepth clarion call. And you know whot? That is good.

You sound the clarion call for all like minded women to re-arrange their lives accordingly, in the quest for female emancipation and enlightenment Sage
Never afraid or deterred from crossing the borders of convention, into the rich fields of total expression and awareness, that inviting vault, where the individual flourishes and excels in their natural and spontaneous state of being, freed from the shackles of conformity and adherence
Alluring graphic adds to the mezmerizing and magnetic pull of the free spirited women, who has choices in her make up, and who alone decides the path she must tread in life for personal satisfaction and contentment....:)
You Sage are the progressive exponent of all out expression and vision
You are indefinable...:)
Peter
