Mezcal Witch of Gringo Rock,
straddling her Tree of Agave, dilated
pupils, tough as she looks, tattooes, gold
rings in her ears, and muscles everywhere,
Mezcal Witch of Gringo Rock drinks distilled
agave for her artistic power, soft lavender mirage
of you, mezcal, Mexico's other spirit, dominates her
gaze, your curvaceous lines composes the eye, and that mutual stare, fixed across centuries of ancient time, until one of you finally blinks,

a process that, in
Mezcal Witch of Gringo
Rock's eyes, isn't entirely
different from what is going
on with you, divining a rather
passionate will of consuming desire
through the arcane process of drinking
mezcal for the soft, lavender vision that
validates ripe for her taking of you, squinting
in the distance, chopped off with a coa de jima,
the agave hearts harvested by the jimadores, Mezcal
Witch of Gringo Rock's foreplay between past and present,

between your legs, Mezcal Witch
of Gringo Rock is close to the maguay
worm (con gusano) on the bottom of the
drinking vial, the cactuses alive with stoned
birds, their bright wings decorating the piles of
sun-bleached sheep vertebrae,

she wraps her legs
and arms tightly around
the Tree of Agave and "climbs"
you, the illusion distilling in the ovens,
absorbing flavors of earth and wood
loaded with the pinas, cooked, crushed,
and mashed, cane and corn sugars, yeast,
she has waited for you aging for seven years,
going through your second distillation, (mid-life)
water added to reduce your proof down to 80,
your flavor influenced by the wooden barrel, she
goes down to eat your bloated worm swelled with
desire, (have you ever wanted a woman more) once
a marketing gimmick tried and true tested, but now love, locking in for eternity, your vigour, Mezcal Witch of Gringo Rock drinks you dry,

you cry, "Oro de Oaxaca!, Gusano de Oro!, Gusano Rojo!, Monte Alban!, Dos Gusanos! El Condor Pasa!

Sage you are amazing...I love the Simon Garfunkle song "I'd rather be a hammer" I have a picture that a university did to see the results of mezcal on spiders, and their webs. Remarkable;-)...

Dayum if you don't give us a visual of raw passion extreme and you added flavors of a spice pungant with a certain sauciness. "You have it going on with this pen!

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
