how you remind me,
how you remind me,

in that warm straw
the ewe died, me
and the lamb, we
been down to the
bottom of every
bottle, nursed the
wool on that orphan,
grew into a leader,

nickelback and
the orphan rune,
we tossed back
another, the bane
banished,

you remind me,
you remind me,

always made it
as a wise woman,
I couldn't cut it as
a misinformed pawn,
and this is how,
this is how you
remind me,

in that warm straw,
that lamb thrived,
me and that lamb
been down to the
bottom of every bottle,
grew into our wool
and wiseness in the
shake of a lamb's tail,

how you remind me,
how you remind me,

nickelback and the
orphan rune, we tossed
back another, the bane
banished,

grew into our wool
and wiseness in the
shake of a lamb's tail,

oh how you remind me,
you remind me...

Totally love this song and your transformation of it, Sage. Reminds me of a similar prose piece I wrote about my pet lamb - Mary, as it happens!! - who followed me around everywhere until she ate the laces of my school shoes and died... hence I cannot allow anyone to make that supreme sacrifice of dotage for me, and I myself can never say Baa to anyone else... sorry, a digression, but lambs just DO that for you, don't they?? I beleive me and Mary, in our own way, me aged six years, probably tossed back that bottle in our own infant way, huh?? And Nickelback man kinda reminds me of Jesus, too... I'm Away On This Manger, Darlin... K xx

What a great connection. You banishing the bane for the lamb as someone has helped banish the bane for you, both growing into your wool.

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
