sweaty grit settles,
muddy necks, send
in the canary, firebrand's
controversial writing burns
holes through the gossip tabloid 
pages,

Disaster 1941, really
in '39, there's her lavender
lunch pail, out comes the canary,
in flies the medicine quail,

the Buckskin Dance
erupts in flame, cave-in,
Hard Rock, Seminole Indians
pulling her out, there's her lavender
boot, 250 teepees sway to the thunder,
cry of the song, have you seen my wife
Mr. Jones, Bee Gees play the jew's harp,
straining ears to hear a sound, she emerges
in her lavender thong,

wind blows her across
the prairie, we lose sight
of her, tent canvas, supplanted
animal hides, what it was like before
their arrival, firebrand roams free, it's
called survival...
