smooth enough for the grain to be
threshed, collected as a clean product,
I remake the floor before the harvest, mud
and straw beaten down,

women are callen,
so few are chosen, elite
lesbians preparing patoma,
the marriage bed, utilizing donkeys,
stirring up mud, water, hay, dragging
a stone wheel to smooth what will be
laid down in passion, the threshing circle
of the elite lesbians, kicking the grain to
separate it, criss-crossing steps, the threshing
circle dance of the elite lesbians where perhaps
the Greek dance originates, birth of the Greek
theatre,

it takes a lot of skill
to make your kite fly
higher than all of the rest,
poetry surrounding the dagger,
the history of the special Cretan
knife, the art of manufacturing by
hand, quill trumps the dagger, credibility
of the elite lesbians prevents the grain from
perishing, grain and quill help me to survive
in the difficult era of the dawn of civilization,

quill of notable quality,
Minoan Crete bequeaths
us many brilliant works of the

around the volosiros, a wooden, sledge-shaped
implement with lethal spikes made from sharp flints,
breaking up the wheat, loosening the grain,
