Well, dang! You GO Girl! You sure don't give a reader any chance to get bored. Hot stuff. Enjoyed very much.
Sage! - I found one in the long lost poetry cupboard, a draft (no pun intended!) Your poem is wonderful - 'for centuries...' - your herstorical stamp makes this a poem of substance, my drafty old draft without this perspective, is more just hot air! - hope you like it -Nicky x
poem
The wax lyrical
evocation of you - tip
to toe, melts away
on hot sheets
streaked.
The wax, lyrical
evocation of your tip
to toe, melts,
so I search again
for your split second essence
in evaporated vapours.
Scent; sensual droplets,
a bead - turn my tongue
around the heat
of explosive air,
in Voice -
condensed against
the pane, your juice
pours rain down the window
of our erotic room,
and later, I write your name
with the fire of my finger,
light a candle in the window
for you, to find your way home.
During the 1960's a young soldier struggles with basic training, a bully sergeant and his own inner demons. A tale of struggle, redemption and survival.
A young technician mourns his lover until he meets another man - a man with a secret. But there are other secrets as a jealous ghost returns to protect his turf.
