Sage Sweetwater bringing you the Upper Tier in lesbian erotica...

I do read your poems by
torchlight, lusting, wandering
through midnight cobblestone
streets,

gamblers going in and
coming out of casinos, the
one that was a gold-mining
town 1800s brothel is where
I keep my room,

silver dollars, heavy
denominations, spill out
from the slot trays and roll
out onto the streets, bells ring,

carriage wheels and
hoof beats, a guest arrives,
cowboy in chaps stops the
carriage in front of the torchlight,

takes my light away,
I walk on to the next torchlight,
I'm rich in hardcopy, I print out your
poems, wild burro brays, Mercy Street,

lift my flask from
inside my black duster
pocket, whiskey-straddle f***
the torchlight pole, thirsty loins grip,

my book's in the closed
mercantile window, torchlight
spotlights The Buckskin Skirt
Oar Traveler, passerbys blush,

I look up at my room, there's
a candle flickering in the open
window, I bend down to pick up
Madam's loose cobblestone,

I do read your poems by
torchlight, lusting, wandering
through midnight cobblestone
streets,

carriage wheels and
hoof beats, a guest arrives,
cowboy in chaps stops the
carriage in front of the torchlight,

"Woman up in your
room gave me her starstone
for a tip, onyx-inlaid cowboy buckle,
she's ready, don't keep her waiting, Sage,"

they know me, I'm a
drifter, come and go gambling
as I please, they don't water down
my whiskey, they don't gossip,

I drop to my knees on
the cobblestone, Mercy Street,
your poems in my hands, I look up at
you in my window, "I read them all!"

I go inside, walk upstairs,
my f***ing torchlight emotions
burning, Open the Door, I'm Coming,
f***ing you now in this upstairs brothel room...

I...

Sage,

Great write! I think it can work from either side, female to female, or male to female which is what makes it such a great poem!

a unique capture and characterization anticipating the arrival of a buckskin gal, strutting down Mercy Street, seeking her torchlight fornication ... way to go!

Its very unsettling to see this level of duality given voice.
I feel hot and cold reading this - but I can smell saddle soap and wish for your safe release into her arms.
