Sage Sweetwater bringing you the Upper Tier in lesbian erotica...

reddish-gold tinge
the foxtail grass between
your legs, the next generation
of women are not in danger of
inheriting nothing but the fleshy
legend of the two of us,

tonight, I sit in
front of the typewriter,
without it, Remington Rand,
there'll be no buckskin lesbian
curves in the future, no filled-out
doe deer for the pattern,

reddish-gold tinge
the foxtail grass between
your legs, if I had one meal
between me and starvation,
it's here I want to be, f***ing
you, lesbian outlaws, they sold
me the whiskey on top of the coffin,
I laid rumor to rest in peace, embalmed
gossip and held graveside service, lesbian
preachers ordained the whole damn mess,
loaded the coffin on the train, white lightning
bootleggers left us their tumbleweed wagon,
blazed our names on the firebrand pages of
women's history, I don't choose to ride a
straight trail,

I took a sheet of carbon
paper and typed a double
copy, we are immortalized
in this ballad, I take a sip of
whiskey from my Mason and
hand it to you for the sake of
pioneer diaries, reddish-gold tinge
the foxtail grass between your legs,
the next generation of women are not
in danger of inheriting nothing but the
fleshy legend of the two of us,

souvenir hunters chip
away at the gravestone,
trying to pry out a piece
of ass gossip, that train
derailed, that coffin slid out
and put rumor to rest, pussy
spreads wide at the telegraph
office, only hitch is - no telegraph
office exists, lesbian outlaws impose
order on the wild frontier, bandit barbers
who nip the necks of gossip, bordellos,
casinos, and we donate the money to
churches,

you give me a
quarter to throw
up a tin can, shoot
me some beaver...

I...

Too good to be true, and too true not to be fan-f'g-tab-u-lous!!
Sage, your Sparklesumness, I can't find superlatives that are
strong enough to describe the beauty and passion and wisdom and skill and humor with which you write. There is so much discipline involved, yet you make it look effortless. As for the sex, *****hoo-HA!***** Make me wish I was a lesbian!! {All have it all in us, right? Just that the balance beam tips and more-or-less stays. Pity that we close off parts of ourselves, but I suppose it is biologically. . .I don't know what I am talking about! Only know I admire you and your glittering, ONE-of-a-kind TALENT. Specialness!!}
While I'm here, thank you again for your beautifully-thought-out and wonderfully-sparklesum reviews. You have to know I cherish them.
Our friendship!!
Your dyed-in-the-Rit and be-earringed friend,

Sage - i love this, - there's been a story for me since before 'Feral Child'(thanks for all your comments btw..)and cheeky Feral spoke in her way, to that story that day, and this poem could be speaking directly to that story, in the firebrand way. In this way, we share themes, human ones which we all can share -and lesbian ones, that lesbian outlaws share with the fullest empathy, admiration and some pride - the same warm look in the eye that i find in a warm gay bar -the one that says - i know you...respect, and love -Nicky xxx

The images Sage creates in the mind's eye of the reader are permanently branded there. I can't get the visual image of
"reddish-gold tinge
the foxtail grass..." out of my mind. Who but Sage could come up with "the fleshy legend of the two of us?" Sage takes paradox to a new level. There is so much more contained within that "fleshy legend." I'm patiently waiting for my next fix...

Quivering, somehow I can only softly echo Belle's sentiments here, Sage. There IS such reverential respect and tenderness contained within the nose-thumbing here. A love well found and a world well lost. Foxes are a beautiful fascination, courting our admiration as well as our confusion with their cunning. They are a law unto themselves. Present, yet aloof. I love this Jessica James write, Rebel WITH a cause. Bette Cassidy and the Foxglove Kid. Keep shootin... your collection of pelts must be mighty fine by now! :)) Love, Kate xx

Sage this is such a powerful and emotional write. Somehow in your writing brillance you have managed to evoke the wild force of rebels and the private tenderness of lovers. For some reason this poem brought tears to my eyes, maybe it's the thought of how living, breathing, bigger than life people so soon become only legends.

wow Sage, so erotic and passionate, and all at a gravesite held funeral. Only you have that knack for entwining the reality with the erotic, passionate thougths of two women in the throes of heated unadulterated sex. Thank you for sharing, I relaly enjoyed this.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), sister Barbie
