This poem disappeared from the poetry board yesterday so I am re-posting it. It is being developed into a television series along with my other poems...

Sage Sweetwater, unrivaled, bringing you the Upper Tier in lesbian erotica...Sage Sweetwater, the exceptional ARTIST of literary lesbian poetic prose...

~~~MPD~~~
Madam Pearle DeVere's
highest-grade piece, the
whores on Sunday paid
the brothel lease...
a legacy to my
loyal fans, not to
be dictated by town
ordinance, or my words
tossed of fools' gold pans,
I looked inside the coffin;
Pearle's lips quivered, "firebrand,
take my hand - I'm not dead - do
have a look under my brass bed -
Gold Dust Woman's takin' me to that
windswept hill, Mt. Pisgah's feelin' a chill -
undertaker said I overdosed of morphine,
do have a look under my bed - pull the blind,"
1800s Poverty Gulch
renamed Cripple Creek, I
smelled Madam's perfume in
her room, oil cloth and weaving
loom,
took the whiskey
bottle from her dressing
table, undid my gold buckle,
spread my legs, pushed it in
where her lips closed around
the bottleneck label, her last taste
of a woman, pussy leached - I let
her memory go - bent down low -
under her brass bed, Madam Pearle
DeVere's highest-grade piece, gold
dust pulpit inlaid - I carried it out and
strapped it on my burro, hauled it to church,
her girls counted
Sunday churro, Lord's
sheep flocked, Bobby Womack
put in his poker rack, chips and whore
tips stacked in the collection plate - his breath
smelled of gin the preacher grinned - I carried the
gold dust pulpit in - out the way I came in -
I carried Madam's cross, Gold Dust Woman's
takin' me to that windswept hill, Mt. Pisgah's feelin'
a chill -
Madam Pearle DeVere's
highest-grade piece, the
whores on Sunday paid
the church lease...
Madam Pearle DeVere,
of The Old Homestead left
me a stash of cash, her lips tasted
mine of sour mash...
I...
Wow Sage, this made me feel the emotion, and a few other things. Nice eulogy poem, and thanks for sharing.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your sister, Barbie
Vivid and powerful. Too bad it disappeared. If it offends some, they don't have to read it. There is writings on here that offend me. I pass them by. We are adults and I thought this was an adult web site. Anyway, great write. Liz
I think I've seen this and enjoyed it before Sage. Its intriguing though that you mention the poem disappearing from the board, I had that happen to one of mine, a popular poem with over 2000 hits on the scorecard. Other items also have gone over several months, at first I assumed it was just a software glitch but a patter has emerged. All the poems, stories and articles that go are either risque or "from the dark side of life" and all are popular with good staying power.
I would be willing to bet those of yours that are removed fit a similar pattern. I do feel we are being unfairly treated, some people may be offended by what we write but though I am often offended by some of the Jesus poems and articles posted here I do not complain as I respect the rights of others to tell evil lies if they wish.
It is wrong of the managers to remove opur work without even giving us chance to defend it. Protests will be made.
Hmm...seemed more like a movie script than amy kind of poem to me. Loved the ending though and the music got me to dancin'. Party on!
Certainly an exceptional twist on the Fleetwood Mac classic, or was it Lindsay and her - I forget. You paint a vivid picture here, Sage, of a colorful time; so real in fact that it seems it could still exist somewhere out hidden away in the mountains of Colorado.
Blessings ...
Richard
