Gun Belts hanging
From the brass bed posts
Pearl bullets shooting through
The wet slicker

Tumultuous half-mile street
Lighted with kerosene flares
Godly-illuminated vindication
Our bodies thrash with the marks of hailstones

Brass skeleton key remains
Inside the door keyhole
Opium-spiked whiskey
Mild hallucinations

Silver pours out of the bag
Onto the Gold scales
Right scale balance tilted
Bottoms out

It's election year
Railroad the bitch
Wanted Dead or Alive
Make up something

Robbery
Bootlegger
Witch's Assistant
Kidnapping a tailor's wife

Tin badge can't outrun
A hemp necktie
Sky turns
Gun-metal gray

Thunder rolls
Lightning cracks
A Reckoning builds in the sky
Easing its way down to the soil

Tight embrace
Extended kiss
Highly pivotal
Ménage a trois

The quick, the dead and me. Love this parody of our unpeaceful life for what has changed in the last 200 years except the potency of our weapons? Insightful. Liz

Un "ménage à trois" pourrais être le début d'un poème ou d'une vie, Sage. Merci, mon amie. Amour et paix,

Régis

Wonderfully rich bullet images you fashion, Poet Sage, and readers piece together in their heads; for me this is all about canvas and the oiling of it.
Oh yes!

"Ménage a Trois" undresses our thoughts
from the sexual positions of triangular gratifications
into the deeper layers of emotional confinments
erupting
exploding
expanding
exploring

Nudity wearing Leather Holsters

Thunderous poetry, dear Sage, I always wanted to do a menage a trois, but never got the chance...Sounds like an exciting chapter.
Much peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
