a portable chunk of code
cast as a cambion born to
a mortal woman, sired by an
incubus, Merlin a non-human
wellspring, a bard driven mad
crossbred with the prophetic knowledge
of Nostradamus, begotten as a devil as
an intended Antichrist,

I, a sage, do dare you
to install the widget of Merlin Nostradamus
my invention, copy and paste prophecy,
a lesbian wizardess who can tell you no more
and no less of pious plague, the Schick test of
diptheria, injection of toxin, inflammation
indicative of the lack of immunity, herbicide to
kill weeds that twine around hypocrisy, apothecary
and seer,

quatrains, healing and clear prophecies
built into the widget of Merlin Nostradamus,
and the rose pill to prevent against the plague,
no mistranslations, annual almanac and
published tables of the day, the fools, would-be
code breakers of the widget of Merlin Nostradamus,
be warned of purporting virus and bible-based
end-of-the-world nonsense, omen is coded
into the widget of Merlin Nostradamus, a code of
oracles, occult works burning with the sage's brilliant
flame, her works on vellum treated with salt peter,

clairvoyance, claraudible, scrying at the abbey,
quatrains, the wine label bearing the secret
code of the exact date of the widget of Merlin Nostradamus
a lesbian wizardess, I can tell you no more or no less.

This is warning and lesson, Sage, a prophecy and programme we are prompted (dared!) to install in our conscious but there is no preaching or dictum - we can choose - and the sage leaves us to do just that.
This is splendid.

Ah, I hear ya, I hear ya! The widget of Merlin Nostradamus is alive and impenetrable inside the lesbian wizardess, the code unbreakable. Come on you psuedo code breakers, come on Dan Brown, step into the world of Sage Sweetwater, firebrand lesbian novelist and see what hell is all about. She'll be writing the story of your dismal failure and literary disgrace. Calling Dan Brown if you still have a set on you, come on . . .

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.

Another Way of Being by Sion Liscannor

A (shockingly) truthful autobiography with elements of fantasy, philosophy, and historical fiction.
