I just have half a mind to throttle the interloper
and bounce ass to the vaulted ceiling so
those in the eleven courtyards can see
the greasy smoke from Fire is Born's
torch burning palm nuts because I
sure as hell have marked a
turning point! I'm clearing
my forest for maize. I've
reached zenith of

artistic achievement.

my incense

lid is a tipi so I am
in ceremony, Fire is Born,
and perhaps Jupiter is aware,
my rodent carries a severed head

feathered scaffold of elite polygamy

staving off
future invaders.

Hallelujah!

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
