Stables of Jericho: Jesus Passed Through

whip and harness
Marquis de Sade Key twists
unlocks the stable

cornucopia stuffed with apples
bible closed upon the Fall
walls reduced to grains

sacrifice of pigs
all that remains
lure the white boar with maresmilk

stain his name
in times when the moon wanes
let the gods announce misdeeds

bend over I (free) will
accept her lash times four
what did she say to me that I submit

biblical pain arouses Bronze Age polygamy
her dominance livens the Dead Sea
where Jesus passed through to heal blind beggars

I beg...
on my hands and knees
to feel her presence to introduce sugarcane

I beg...
on my hands and knees
to feel her presence to domesticate emmer wheat and barley

I beg...
on my hands and knees
she ride this horse with free rein god I feel religion

All the world's a sta..ble. Jesus, indeed, passes through them all... Somehow, I feel like I am walking with you and the Lord through each of these cameos, listening to your fast-paced commentary while being filmed by a journalist; all these scenes a continuous rolling backdrop behind. Your many-roomed religion is always most provocative and stimulating, darlin Sage. xx PS I used to love the donkeys at our Westward Ho! beach!! :))

I sit outside Indian style
facing the clover fields
in my oak camouflage to keep warm
and the oak bibs to keep my personal furnace warm
and open my arms raised upward just right
similar to the Pentecostal tongue speakers
this poetic offering takes me there too...

I am considering a road trip
to Westward Ho Motel
and it will entail propositions
and pleasure too of course :)
I need to retreat somewhere soon

Reminds me of a poem by Denise Levertov, which goes like this: "The world is not with us enough, oh taste and see, the subway Bible poster said, meaning the Lord, meaning if anything all that lives to the imagination's tongue, grief, mercy, language, tangerine, weater, to breathe them, bite, savor, chew, swallow, transform, into our flesh our deaths, crossing the street, plum, quince, living in the orchard and being hungry and plucking the fruit."

I 'read' this a few ways, Sage, ...but that's me...an exposition of torture, a longing for freedom, a masochism of those i won't mention...and an overriding (no pun) irony...all in one exceptional piece.

BE IT PERSON, PLACE OR THING, ONCE JESUS HAS 'PASSED THROUGH' IT CANNOT REMAIN THE SAME. SO ALL I CAN SAY IS, THANK GOD THOSE 'STABLES' HAVE CHANGED?...HALLELUJAH! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Sage:

Sometimes I hardly know what to think about some of the things you say, except that they are always intensely thought provoking and make me see things from a totally different perspective.

Keep at it,
