I'll give that some thought, Roger. Actually I love allusion and illusion and the meaning of their terms in lexiconology. I like to think of my rapier wit - it pages this term named after the rapier sword, which has a very slender and accurate point. Saber, scimitar, kris, rapier, they all have the same emasculating purpose, but why emasculate physically I ask? Why not publically emasculate in a more widespread efficient manner so all can view feminist poetry with the cutting edge of serious sharpness? Hence the emblem of judicial vengeance. The rapier's sheath, hence circumcision's religious ties with full castration the next step. Hmmm... the castration complex in this poem is as vivid as the suffusion of gonad imagery with godly iconography... just remember, dear Sage, when you take the mask off of emasculation, it is not quite elation that you are left with.
