Roasted Quail

In hot water
Looted nose to tail
Bird Purgatory

Cooked until the legs
Easily pulled from the ribcage
Big pile of well-done plunder and loot

... makes me think of our barbarism with lobsters and frogs as well... maybe because these inhabit water anyway, we think they won't mind, but the broiling of birds until their legs can be pulled reminds me of the things they used to do to "witches" to me. I have no idea why I make that comparison, but it just comes to mind, somehow. Do they flail'em in Salem? :(( xx

Bad day for quails. Good day for lunch. Life moves on a bit diminished. Patrick
