Where Anvils Formed Trust

rock hard
chiseled into quartz memories
was it really all that sparkly?

geodes held back
heart split in half
meteor from another place and time

saddleblanket
residue mica flakes
glitter of a ride undone

corrals beat up pretty bad
feldspar lays a crooked mile long
sexual geology gives a hard f*** thought

coal as black as tar baby raven
smolders in the forge where anvils
formed trust with their blacksmith
