Sweetwater now in Harley-Davidson backed promotional poetry marketing her biker film The Biker Chronicles: Outlaw's Revenge

Chromosexual

aerodynamics her
demeanor has as little
resistance to air as possible
she's heard it all the religious gas
just flaps in the breeze off her ape hangars
the tall handlebars showing the hair under her arms

she found
the barn queen
in the straw with
barn disease bike had
been idle for more than
a few years battery dead
calipers seized carbs filled
with varnish sludge it's more
than a bar hopper a cool custom
that comes out more than friday and
saturday nights and not afraid to see
rain a rigid frame hardtail

her bible
the repair manual
under psalms the jesus clip
in an E shape that holds the
handlebar switches together when
you drop it you say oh jesus cuz you
know you'll never find it her concentration
is on that nice-titted woman riding a can of tuna
she'll have her converted from the suzuki kantana to
a harley chromosexual adding more and more chrome

her eccentric
journals not something
hunter s thompson wrote
but terminology for connecting
rods to the crankshaft furthermore
a euphemism for a strap-on how many
times she's hit a false neutral failing to engage
gears and the transmission behaves like it is in
neutral when she is shifting between fourth and fifth
gear this time she says it'll be different because she knows
how to read the plugs to determine the mixture of fuel and air
too lean or just rich

I'm not a motorcycle freak, but I do know my way around motors and crankcase oil, brake fluid and seized calipers notwithstanding, this little poem is outstanding!

I always wondered the reason why some women love to ride motorcycles is to have that huge engine pounding between their thighs. Am I right?

'tin of tuna' lol - here they are called hairdryers. Back in the day we tiny bikers would've polished the chrome of a friend's brothers Triumph or a Norton over a flashy Harley any day of the week, little patriots in the making..probably because we hadn't had the good fortune to meet one Harley in the flesh yet -they are beautiful aren't they? Still a rarity here - more euphemisms please!

at first i thought this little ditty was about my friend prancy who would, when wearing too much make up, while hitting the bars, would make you think he was shinier than the lights.

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
