Sweetwater the lesbian western icon of our century chiming in as the American lesbian poet trailblazer bought by Hollywood in film promotion Jett Durango. Poetry that sells!

Cosa Nostra Cattle Barons

blacksmith threatened
one too many times he heated
the coals in the forge the cosa nostra
posse riding through devil's gorge

blacksmith took
a swill of old orchard
the burn in the back of his throat
cauterized a bold vowel that stood up
to the cosa nostra cattle barons one of eight men
italian seven mixed appointed by the sicilian boss
virginia city 1876 bucket of blood a norse and a well-heeled
mulatto loansharking and lifting a brand dirty moving pictures
fuzzy porn playing in the opium den

he thought he was
calling the shots the
mustache petes sent him
on his death ride through
devil's gorge he made a mistake
his horse threw a gold shoe on opium
trail he dismounted leading the horse
by the reins another time again by solidifying
ties with the blacksmith liam

he unbuttoned his pants
and got behind liam the mustache petes
watched from a hilltop with monoculars
a woman laid a branding iron across the
hot coals she had fire in her spirit passed
down to her and she never feared it she changed
from liam into a glowing firebrand he felt pain's
agent the other mixed seven cosa nostra cattle barons
carried him to his horse he wasn't dead the mustache petes
took a vote why he couldn't carry out orders the boss exchanged
the monocular for a gun the horse ran off with bloody reins
