Sage Sweetwater is the name of Colorado Firebrand Lesbian Novelist, Poet, Storyteller, Screenwriter, Business Artist and Pulpit Agent. Sweetwater the lesbian icon of our century chiming in as the American lesbian poet trailblazer bought by Hollywood-Wall Street in film promotion. Poetry that sells!

Trinity Orchard

paganism religious
soft porn holes in her
boots where celibacy walks
with a hand on her pentacle
thimble hard artistic crotch
that does more than sow that
dirty so and sew

stitching whispers
"they've left their
good skin to put on
appearances"

sunday sermon
the lemons shipped
from the godfather's
citrus farm in florida
vitamin c enriched christ!

on-tree value
$ amount godfather
receives minus pick
and haul cost

on-tree prices
sour lemons box
of fruit not including
costs to harvest and transport
to the packing house

pulp it removed
from the lemons and
now some pulp it may be
added back

but...the drawback...
carry-over defined as
inventory of processed
product on hand at the
end of marketing season
the bin is full...sixteen bushels
trinity orchard

I like it all, but how do the first two stanzas relate to the rest of the poem??? The Sagewater imagery is distinctive...

I gather this means something about being soured on the church. I think?

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
