For over two decades Sage Sweetwater has been on a mission to find the truth about the Buddy Holly plane crash on February 3, 1959 with The Big Bopper aka J.P. Richardson, & Richie Valens all on board including the 21-year-old pilot Roger Peterson. Waylon Jennings gave up his seat to Richardson and was not on board, who took the bus instead. We have found Buddy Holly & his wife & the heirs of Buddy Holly who survived the no plane crash & the rest of the gang. They are now with us. Sweetwater wrote two poems in light of Buddy Holly that were constructed to assist in the discovery of Truth over a decade ago pulled from her archives, Cosmic Severance, and Harpsichord of Obedience: Rave On, reposted. We are now the proud owner of the 1947 V-tailed Beechcraft 35 Bonanza which was chartered by Buddy Holly from Dwyer Flying Service. We have also hangared this plane. We are curating several museums full of clothes and memorabilia dispersing some collectable items to our several Hard Rock locations across the globe.

Cosmic Severance

cracking of
a cosmic egg
birthing chaos

embryo's life
generating from
a corpse back into a corpse

dying breath
ex nihilo
from nothing

dimensionless void
muddy disorder
evil oblivion

world parent
separating and splitting
primeval entity

dismembered
limbs hair blood
bones and organs

rock and roll myth
of the ages
cosmic octaves resonate

buddy holly
black framed famer
that'll be the day

took its title
from a line of john wayne's character
1956 film the searchers

the crickets
mourn not fade away
plane crash fiery fate

cosmic severance
overdubbed recording
hit a brick wall

walk of
fame buddy
waylon and the firebrand

Harpsichord of Obedience: Rave On

mezzanine of the
hall of poets besmirched,
clogged bidet from diabolus,
corrupt sphincters forcing elimination,
torn popeholy, flimflam rectums,

disloyal covert sect,
breached liasion, spiritual
extortion skewered on the
roasting turnspit, literary carnage
at the expense of detestation,

harpsichord of obedience
plays off tune, defiance casts
the creme de menthe French rune,
oral sex with a smattering of creme
de menthe liquor in the poetic whore's
mouth,

rave on Buddy Holly,
showstopper in the cathouse,
merkin, pubic hair wig for the theatrical
purpose of crotch-sucking dilettantes who can't
place their work into the marketplace honestly...

Rave on...

Your poems are hard-core honest. I like that. To hell with right wing political correctness. I didn't know where you were going with Cosmic Severance until you got to the middle where you started describing what happened to Buddy Holly and the others on that cold stormy night. A fine tribute. And a sorrow that Whalon never could forget.

Rave On, was truly your rave about being accepted. But I'm not sure where Buddy Holly, who sang innocently about Wake Up, Little Susie, had anything to do with your plight. But I have noticed that you like to bring celebrity into your work whenever you can.
