Rain on a Florida Beach

My wife and I were under a beach umbrella at Naples Beach, Florida, when it started to pour buckets of rain. For the first time ever, we just watched the seagulls and the pelicans. What a feast for the eyes. The birds had a ball and so did we. The rain on a beach is a time to remember forever.

Under the beach umbrella we happily sat, as the rain came down in Naples beach, man, it really started to pour. Some folks ran for cover and some held on to their hats. While others waited and watched from the shore. Then the dark clouds rolled in. The ocean waves loudly clashed. Many folks quickly gathered together. While the pelicans were frantic; seagulls flew up and dashed. The fisherman grabbed poles and waded in the water, some seemed determined to get the big catch of the day. In time, some caught fish, landed them, and others waited for more. While pelicans dove in a frenzy from everywhere and every which way. We just stood still, watched on and listened to the oceans roar. We felt the peace and serenity of the majestic world of God for so many hours. God’s world has no TV, no computers game and everything is real. There is so much inner beauty to explore, like the birds and flowers. We must take time to experience the wonders of the earth while we can. After all, God made this wonderful world for all to enjoy. The majestic world God made for us to explore... who can ask for more, indeed? Your experiences brought to life the reasons I love to go to the beach--land bound in Arkansas makes my excursions few and far between, but I sure love it when I go.

oh John..I lived on Marco Island on a sailboat for a year at the Marco River Marina...and also in Naples..for 3 winters..you took me back right on that beach..peace takes over indeed, MUCH enjoyed this!
