I can do more at sixty! Here is why....

Poem Artwork

 Hey! Hey! Whatdoyado?

Hey! Hey! Whatdayasay?

I turned sixty the other day.

So, am I going to make a difference?

Perhaps I will rest and slip-slide away?

Heck no! That kind of life is not for I!

I want to live and not let life pass me by!

I have had many experiences in this life.

But I still have so much to do and say.

So my plans don’t include spending time in a rocking chair or wasting time away.

Every day is filled with so much stuff I have yet to do.

I’d rather kayak, swim and do things with my friends and family today.

I want to write many books, stories, articles and poetry too.

There are so many people to interview and places to explore.

How many hobbies can I have?

I can have hobbies galore!

I can also play a musical instrument.

I can write a little song.

I can mentor or help someone in need.

Praise God, I got the time!

Praise God, I am still strong!

So there is really no limit to what I can do these days, you see.

I just have to pray,

step aside,

and let our Lord

have His Way!

Amen

You have such a beautiful heart! You do all those things that God granted while you continue to live in his garden...

Be always safe,

Hey, John, I'm seventy-five and ride a bike with a group five days a week if I'm not working. There's a movie option on my first novel and my third novel was published in February. And, most importantly, I still look at women. When you stop looking at attractive women, then you can say you're really getting old and me, I feel like I should be no older than, uh... sixty.

Great write, John. I can most definitely relate to this as I'll be 58 in three weeks myself. But the brain says I'm only half that and that's how I plan to live it. Ya wanna go sky diving sometime, my friend? Again, great piece and God bless.

Your poem is filled with joy and life. It proves just because the calendar turns each year, we don't have to quit living. Well said and God Bless You, John.

Ah you're still a youngster, John. I wish I was 60 again. I can't do a thing any longer. Of course I will be 73 in exactly two months. But I really like the positive aspects of this writing. Praise GOD.

GOD BLESS YOU
Tony
