Three Months - No Pay

Poetry is so cool because you can let your feelings out in an artistic way.
This one is about a recent part-time position I picked up that included marketing a service. I really enjoy the job but not the reimbursement process.

I have traveled all over to help this company flourish and grow

I have had some success and was glad to do it, you know

But now I am completely out of gas and cannot go on

It’s all because I have not been reimbursed for so very long

I thank God I don’t have to rely on this job for income

Still I cannot recommend that my friends to sign up for this one

The company says the reason for the wait is a paperwork mistake

I had mistakes with other jobs but they were corrected within a week!

So here I wait and yes, I feel like a fool who wants to scream

I was foolish enough to think this was the job of my dreams

So I pray that a resolution to this dilemma will come today

Then I can go forward with my life and be on my way

Amen

What a powerful way to "Vent" Brother John. You are sincerely and wholeheartedly one who loves God.You know many people get sullen when money is involved, but you chose to write about your disappointments.

Governments and educational institutions are notoriously slow at reimbursing. On the other hand, if you've been scammed, the sooner you report it the better.
