It’s cheaper to send emails Than to send text-messages So they start that instead. He makes fun of her political beliefs She ignores him and reads Bukowski And they manage to love each other Through her seriousness And his immaturity Because he makes her laugh And she makes him feel connected. She glances in the mirror and thinks, "Well, there's a smile to remember."

I love the ambiguity in the end: Who's smile? Her own? or His? I hope it's her own.

Once again I agree with you and believe that the new century will be dominated by cyber love, (not to be confused with cyber sex.) The age of computers has given everyone even the shy a chance to reach out and touch someone. Age, race, looks, weight and fnancial status fall away and have little matter to the lonely. You have captured this well.

Nicely put...we must learn to find pleasure in our differences, joy in our individualities...as corny as that may sound...it is those differences that makes each of us interesting to the other. And, yes, "opposites do attract." Wonderful write...
